The project belongs to Component 4 of NAIP, under theme area of QTL identification Objectives : - Identification of QTL for milk yield, fat and protein percent in Buffaloes using Daughter Design in selected chromosomes.
- Identification of positional candidate genes and development of markers in Buffalo based on cattle- human synteny
- Fine mapping of QTL with SNP markers.
